Comprehensive Evaluation, Level of Care Assessment & Treatment Planning

pearheaded by our Clinical Director, Melissa Gerson, LCSW, CPC provides comprehensive evaluation, treatment planning and referral services. Ms. Gerson consults with each patient to evaluate the current mood and behavioral symptoms and assess their impact on the individual’s overall functioning. Ms. Gerson obtains a complete picture of the patient’s current and past treatments, his/her eating disorder history, and the mechanisms that are maintaining or exacerbating the problem.

If there are other health care providers involved in the patient’s care, Ms. Gerson engages in a thorough collaborative process to coordinate the care. Based on detailed information gained through this evaluation and consultation with outside providers, Ms. Gerson is able to make clear recommendations for each patient’s treatment, incorporating services at CPC and often utilizing other resources outside of our center. The goal is to arrange for a comprehensive treatment plan structured to support for a full and lasting recovery.
